Radio Removal

I have this deck in my E320. Can I just use the key to remove it or do I need to disassemble part of the dash as well?

W124's
You just need the MB Stereo Key remover and it'll easily pop right out.

SWEET!! I was not looking forward to tearing the console apart. Every time I try to fix something in my interior it breaks off! This freaking biodegradable plastic is ruining my Benz experience. All the rattles are almost worse than my '85 Volvo.

alternatively, you could try puling on the face plate and eventually snap it in half, and then the rest is a breeze.
worked for me...

If you're cheap like myself, you can make the keys from scrap steel.

You're the man! Your pic gave me an idea. I was able to accomplish the task using a very small pocket knife with a 1.5 inch blade, about 1/4 inch wide. Thanks!

That's why I took the picture... to help others in our community, and to remind myself which way to bear on the keys when removing the radio. (You bear outward).
