Rewiring 300 TE for sound system

Rewiring 300 TE for sound system is a real pain. All the door panels had to be removed as well as all kinds of other stuff. I had to replace all speakers; used Boston Accoustics for dash and front door with crossovers and coaxial Fosgates for rear doors. Will have an Alpine head unit and either a Fosgate or Alpine amp. Below are a few photos.

Wiring is a pain. I also had to do the same. I decided to put my amp and capacitor under the middle seat and it just barely fits. I had thought about putting it in the rear compartments I have but they are all filled with stuff. I also installed a sat. radio antenna on the top of the tailgate which was really fun to string the wire from the far back all the way to the front where I put the sat receiver under the passenger footwell. Alpine head units are totally the way to go, I love mine. BTW, what size speakers did you fit in the rear doors... I only have some tweeters there as you did in your front speakers and it isn't quite enough. I have enough bass with my 15" sub I have in the back, but I really need some more mid balance.
All of this time you have been putting into your TE and I have never seen any pics of the car posed. My buddies dad just got a 94 TE after I conviced him to get a benz and he loved mine. I think that color you have, the same as his, is such a great shade of grey on the w124.

Finally finished my sound system upgrade, included 4 new boston accoustic speakers with crossovers, 2 fosgate rear speakers, Alpine 9857, and Fosgate 450.4 amp and what seemed like miles of wire and cables.

Those rear fosgates are the 4" T142C speakers. They fit perfectly after a little dremel work to the area they mounted to.

Photo of amp and crossovers installed in rear.

Thanx for posting these pics! I'm planning something similar with my 300TE as well and your pics are very helpful in advance!
