Did a little performance test
Took the SL out for a little acceleration run.
Acceleration run
without the pictures
It's great, performance is easy to exploit, there are not many cars that you can match (or better) the makers performance figures without any fuss

Looks to me like automatic shifts, consistent shift points plus nice intervention from the traction control at the start.
Thinking hard where I could find a level half mile straight where I could do the same!

When I've taken the s55 to the track I use manual selection but often let the box change up it's self and only need to down shift for the next corner, works well.
I do like the colour combination great taste Stephen

If the traction control was turned off, would the 0-60 been faster?? Any chances of trying this out?

Running your clip and my clip on side by side lap tops, starting as the tacks are sweeping toward 1,000 rpm shows almost identical 0 to 60 mph and 0 to 100 mph times.
You are in a different gear and reving differently at 110 mph ... so you may be pulling away. But it is difficult to see that.
It took me 18 seconds to hit 120 mph. That is when I ran out of road on my local circuit :v .
Is yours a bit quicker to 120 mph?

I for one would like to see the 0 to 120 mph performance of the SL55.

I watched the R129 video compared to the R230 video, and the R129 looks faster to 60 to me!? Is anybody else noticing this?
I counted 4.5 0-60 in the 129?
I counted 4.5 0-60 in the 129?
