I don't see that it improves the looks of the car.
In fact to me it looks pretty much as the stock does.
(No?)
But then IMHO neither does the Rentech.

C230K Coupe/Orion/C4/C5/CD/AMG Spoiler/V60/TeleAid, 2 MGB's
Kwik,
The AMG spoiler comes in black with 3M adhesive tape, and installation was simple. It lines up exactly with the lip on the trailing edge of the hatch.
Citron,
I paid $199(plus sales tax) at the dealer, and installation was easy. I used toothpicks every few inches and pulled them away as I pressed it in place. Personally, I think painting it would be a mistake, as it's made to match the black edge thats already there.
C230,
Check your car again. The AMG spoiler rises about 3/4" over the flat edge. If you got it 'stock', then thank your sales monkey.
Frank,
It matches the curve of the rear of the coupe. AMG makes one specifically for the sedan.
I've got to caution you all....it was ordered from Germany, there were 5 in the world, and I waited 5 weeks for delivery...prepaid!

zhaoyi - thats what the dealer showed me on MB inventory
tifosiv122 - yup...there's a slight lip that comes down the back, helps you line it up
C230K - it only covers the center section of the hatch, not the sides...but the angles of the edges are smoothly alligned to the curve of the tail light bezel.

Tifosi - the 'lip' is maybe 1/16"....so it literaly rests on the edge of the stock piece...looks clean!
I thought about painting it, and actually had a friend (body shop owner) order me a half pint of Orion blue paint ($35).
Personally, I like the look of the unpainted black. It's black plastic (not painted black) that matches the hatch edge perfectly. As someone mentioned before, it looks like stock....only a little better.
I'll post the part number as soon as I find the sales slip...it's been a while, and I just recently thought about posting a pic....(my bad, yo)
