Interests in a group buy of the m111 Renntech ECU mod?
I’m working with Renntech to do a group buy on there ECU upgrade. They will offer it for pulley modified cars only it will add 8-10 HP on the dyno but will increases the drivability beyond that number. The chip mod will not be sold as a separate mod because there is just not that much gain to the stock system. I’m also working on a group buy of a kit that includes both the pulley and the ECU. Here is what I’m trying to get approved 699.00 for the ECU and 1699.00 for the pulley and ECU. Renntech is the only pulley that includes the factory dampener. The ECU mod will be performed with out having to open the box and install a chip on the board thus completely undetectable by you dealer.
ps: the ECU mod will work with any of the pulley kits that are out even the pulleybull.

So, Randy, how is the ecu mod done then? A module attached in series to the ecu, external to the box? That's the only thing that I can think of - am I close? If so, did I win anything?

Tommy: I think it would be done some way similar to that of a flashing of a computer BIOS. But that is purely spectulation. I cant wait for a group buy to come out. Its great to know that some tuners are willing to do this for there customers.

will you be able to do this if you already have the pulley beforehand? So the chip will only give 8-10 hp but will it make the car faster and more peppy? Any info is greatly appriciated.

From what Randy posted on another forum you can the the ECU mod at your own home. you dont have to take it to Renntech get the ECU upgraded.

i want to do this...
so what would the final price for ecu+crankshaft pulley kit be (C32)....on renntech site it says...
SOFTWARE Upgrade: BHP Gain 25..someone earlier said only 8more hp? (were you referring to a diffrent car other than c32?)
