Take a look at the Crossfire site, we are trying to put together a group buy. Boulekos Dynamic has ask how many we need to get a price and another is also working with a distributor. We would like to see what the MB people think about the product and putting together a buy. Has anyone installed one with a auto? Here is a link to the site..

Is the SRT-6 really the same motor though? It's rated at much less hp/torque than our cars. Does that necesarily mean the ECU is different and therefore the throttle behavior/programming will be different?

The engines are the same and Boulekos has a model for auto and manual and as I understand either to versions one more aggressive than the other or they may be first and second designs. I emailed Boulekos about a group buy and Mr. Boulekos seams interested, here is his reply..
Dear Mr Werner,

I would like to know the exact quantity of the Sprint Boosters you are willing to purchase so i can provide you a ''quantity price''.

Also i need to know the exact quantity so i can calculate the shipping costs and custom brokerage fees.

At the moment we don't have a US distributor.

Best Regards,

Stamatis Boulekos

Well they have different HP numbers from the manufacturers - it would be good to hook up with our SRT brothers over there and trade information/tips, etc...

The engines are the same in the SRT-6 vs the SLK32....
I spoke with Bob at Renntech when buying my performance package, he said the cams are different and thats why the SRT-6 has less HP.

The sprint booster just plugs in between the gas pedal harness, and the there are only two versions for these cars that Ive heard of, one for autos and one for manuals.

Anyway....Im on Crossfireforum.net also and signed up for the group buy, hopefully it gets underway soon

I've not heard of an auto vs manual version (tho' I'm not a dealer) but there is certainly a toned down and more aggressive version (perhaps that is the difference), so I'll suggest SRT-6 owners order the toned down version due to the over-responsiveness, affecting drivability of the car....

Well, you may be right, as a less responsive one might be needed for MT (or AT?)......then its just a matter of what you call it

Seriously guys, my head is spinning on the toned down version or the older version for the 3.2 V6 non-supercharged. If any of you guys have the older version with an slk320 with the auto transmission, please write a quick review.

They can be ordered here.. http://www.sprintbooster.gr/en/index...tpage&Itemid=1
Email them, they respond quickly and all together it is about $ 450.00 one at a time. Arrangements have to be made to wire the money to them. The crossfire owner that ordered and installed it found out this..
There are two models of this device - one for auto trans (BDD 451A) and one for manual (BDD 451). This should work on every version/application of our engine.

The unit was delivered via UPS within about 5 days of my wiring the funds to Greece!
Take a look here

Yes it is for a M-B 320SLK 3.2 L V6 M-B engine. this is from the post on the crossfire site of the person who installed it.

Re: Sprint Booster - A "Must-have"! - 07-12-2006 , 01:56 PM

Concerning earlier questions... Boulekos had no knowledge about the Crossfire. They were not sure if it would work with the XF, in fact. BUT, we all know that we essentially have an M-B 320SLK (3.2 L V6 M-B engine) and, therefore, the Sprint Booster for that engine should work fine. I took the gamble and - yes - it works perfectly well! ...just got back from lunch in the car and it is a new driving experience - no lag or delay, AT ALL! Glad I did it... !

After reading up on this product, it does nothing to add HP or performance. All it does, is fool the driver & computer. It basically tells the computer that you are pressing down on the accelerator pedal farther than you actually are, faster than you are. In essence, it just makes you think the car is faster.

All you have to do is press the damn gas pedal down in your stock vehicle! Also, I don't have any laggy throttle response issues, but I drive my C55 pretty hard to begin with, so it's probably adapted to my style of pushing it on a regular basis.

Please email me at rowdy00@aol.com and I will email you all the information.

rbaker,
You are correct this has nothing to do with HP, only with throttle lag. Some are OK with the response as it is and some ( I'm one ) want a faster pedal.
