The removal of the C320 rear emblem was easy. I used a flat plastic wedge, peeled the remaining gum and a little wax to clean up the residue.

The result is a clean rear deck lid, as shown.

leave the Star on there. It looks better that way. I de-badged my coupe last year. I love the clean look. Hey you should get some Silver Vision bulbs for your 05 lights. they will get rid of that orange hue.

I tried to take it off, and it's pinned into the car in the center. So, being paranoid, I blacked out everything instead, except left off the silly "KOMPRESSOR" lettering. YMMV

good point. if you do take it off there will be 3 holes left in the hatch. youll have to get those filled at a body shop and painted. just extra $$$ at that point.

Are you sure it's 3? I think it's just one, right in the center, 'cause I wedged paper in there as backing, when I painted the star.

the car accident i was in hit my left side, damaging the trunk and causing the emblem to be removed while they do repairs. well, when they wanted to put the emblem back on, they ordered a new one from MB that said CLK240. apparently that is the standard [body shop would have to obviously do the letter adjustments]. instead of putting that on and risk humilation, i decided to leave it off, and the clean look is actually quite wonderful. the back seems more 'balanced'.

i prefer the clean look in the rear. the Kompressor is just oo much for me. having just the 3 pointed star really looks good IMO.

i like the way it looks on a coupe. whether i had a C230 or C320 coupe i would debadge it. just my preferance. same with the sedans i think. if i had an AMG tho i would leave the badges on.

- "I didn't know they made a V6 320 COUPE"
- "Why did you take off the KOMPRESSOR badge?"
- "Those must be rare, I've never seen a C320 COUPE"
- "Aren't your numbers on backwards?"
- "Pretty fast for a 4-cylinder, and it's not even supercharged!"

320 coupe is pretty rare. i think a 320 citron coupe would be even more rare!

i do like the 320 coupes but for the cost of the engine i couldnt jusitfy it. plus when i ordered my car the C320 coupe was not available. i was happy with the performance of the 1.8L.

the 3.2 is faster with tons of low end torque which is nice.
