I have a e320 2003 and the radio unit doesn't work anymore i thought the display (lcd) was gone . So i when to Mercedes an bought a new head control unit radio for the car and had them replace the old unit.... now the lcd turns on and it has a Mercedes sign(logo) then turns off....i cant play cd's or even listen to the radio....the cd changer will not open...... what can i do?

Could be the AGW. Pull the fuse for a while and try again.

If it does not help, check the wiring (fibre and CAN-bus) at the HU and other MOST ring devices.

Its the AGW, I had the exact same problem and had to replace mine, I actually bought two, one without the microphone connection first, then I replaced it with another one that was the exact one I needed because I need the mic for the phone. If you need one and can do without the mic, I have it and will let it go for $200. I paid $370 for it.

so that mean i would have to change it myself if so i guess you can tell me how?
and will this awg work with vehicle/radio cause i just have a regular radio with cassette player and 6disc cd changer.... NO Navigation

Yeah, it will work with it, and the installation is pretty simple, you remove the side panel, then move the SAM over to the side (the thing with the fuses), and take the AGW out, it sits right on top of the left rear wheel well. Then just unplug the old AGW and plug in the new one.

I can provide step by step instructions, no problem.
