2003 Head & Tail Lights

Hello Guys,

As most of you know I have a 2002 s500 with xenon headlamps. I want give the vehicle a facelift by installing the 2003 type xexnon headlamps and the new taillights as well as the 2003 style indicator lights. Please share your thoughts and where I could get them installed from for a reasonable price. Also where would be a good place to get the lights, ebay???? Do I need some special adaptors or somthing to make the customization complete.

Here's a start- can't guarantee all are directly relevant to the '02-'03 replacement, but you'll have a good idea what to check for.

solution

If you get OEM factory they won't fit because You would need special adapters for them. It is so hard to find those adapters no one sells them. There was a shop in California that used to sell em but they shut down a while back. Get aftermarket projectors and those are plug and play. I got aftermarket for my 2002 S500 and they work absolutely perfect. Right now there is only one guy selling them on ebay and he is in Hong kong. But make sure you talk to ebay before buying them. The reason I am saying is that if he takes your money and does not send you the lights atleast you could get your money back. His feedback is good but I dont trust sellers in Asia. One of my friends bought something from a seller in Asia and never got his stuff. But lkeep looking on ebay or the web and find someone id the U.S who is selling aftermarket 03+ projectors. Good Luck

I started a thread on discussing replacing projector head lights with projector clear glass head lights. Just search on my name.

Mark_K - because the question seemed to be just a bit different from some I have seen, I wanted to check your thread, and bookmark it if the question was different from the standard "I want to replace my '00-02 headlights with '03 or later" and "Bi-Xenon or not?" I did the search - on your name as author and using "projector" and "headlight" separately as search terms. No thread started by you on the topic showed up on MBWorld. Would you mind giving us the link?

Here it is:

https://mbworld.org/forums/s-class-w220/175909-experiences-retrofit-halogen-only-projector-lights.html

The OP wanted Bi-Xenon however, another poster in this thread was talking about projector lights. My thread is in context of projector head lights.

Thanks for the link - I had it bookmarked from before, but it didn't turn up in a new search. Odd.
